Common questions

How auto-social.io works, Brand DNA, the 30-day plan, getting started, and other general product questions people ask first.

Short answers to the most common and general questions about auto-social.io. Use this page when someone asks how the product works before diving into formats or credits.

How does it work?

auto-social.io is an AI chat assistant for social and blog content. You set Brand DNA, describe what you want in plain language, and the assistant drafts copy and media. You review and edit, then publish or schedule. In Assistant mode nothing goes live without your approval.

Typical flow:

  1. Create an account and complete Brand DNA (name or URL with autocomplete).
  2. Optionally confirm a 30-day content calendar so drafts are queued for you.
  3. Open chat and say the platform, format, tone, and goal (or refine calendar drafts).
  4. Review the draft (text and media when needed). Edit or ask for a rewrite.
  5. Approve, then publish or schedule once networks are connected.

See Getting started and Chat and generation.

What is auto-social.io?

auto-social.io helps creators and teams plan, write, generate media, and publish posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, plus blog articles with covers (and Pinterest pins). Credits pay for AI generation. Plans change monthly credit volume, not which core tools you can use.

What is Brand DNA?

Brand DNA is your brand profile: voice, colors, logo, and messaging extracted from a name or URL (and editable afterward). It steers future captions and creatives. Details: Brands.

What is the 30-day content calendar?

During onboarding you can let the AI propose posts for roughly a month (about 2 to 7 posts per week). You pick which slots to keep; selected posts are generated as drafts in order. Emails notify you when the queue finishes or if credits run out. You can skip this and only use chat.

Can agents or scripts drive my account?

Yes. auto-social.io is agent-native:

Create keys under Account → Agent access.

What can I do?

You can:

  • Draft captions, threads, carousels, Reels, Shorts, Stories, pins, and blog articles
  • Generate matching images or video when the format needs them (including longer videos built from merged clips)
  • Attach reference images or videos, add captions/subtitles, voiceovers, or dubbing when you ask
  • Refine drafts in chat (“shorter”, “more concrete”, “in French”, “about 25 seconds”)
  • Save brand profiles so generation follows your voice and visuals
  • Browse assets in Library
  • Connect social accounts and publish or schedule after approval
  • Optionally use Autopilot later for hands-off publishing on a cadence you choose
  • Drive the same tools from MCP, CLI, or REST with an API key

You do not need to pick AI model names. The assistant selects models for you. See Choosing models.

How do I get started?

  1. Create an account and complete Brand DNA.
  2. Optionally confirm a 30-day plan, or ask for one clear post in chat (name the platform and format).
  3. Edit the draft, then connect a network when you are ready to publish.
  4. Stay in Assistant mode until the review flow feels natural.
