Getting started with auto-social.io
Create your account, start your first chat, generate a post, and connect your social networks.
auto-social.io helps you plan, write, and publish social content with an AI assistant. You stay in control: drafts are editable, and nothing goes live until you approve it (unless you later turn on Autopilot).
This guide walks you through the first session: account, chat, first post, then connecting networks.
Create your account
- Sign up with your email (or the sign-in option shown on the site).
- Confirm your email if asked.
- Open the app dashboard. You will see your credits balance and a place to start chatting with the assistant.
Every plan includes the same core workflows. Free accounts get a smaller credit pool so you can try generation before upgrading.
Start your first chat
The chat is where you describe what you want. You do not need to know AI model names or technical settings.
Try a simple first message, for example:
- “Write a LinkedIn post about launching our new product next week. Professional tone, short paragraphs.”
- “Draft an Instagram carousel (7 slides) for a skincare tip series. Friendly, clear, with space for text on each slide.”
- “Create a TikTok video idea with a strong hook in the first 3 seconds, about remote work productivity.”
Tips for better first results:
- Name the platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and so on).
- Say the format when it matters (single post, carousel, Reel, Story, Short, thread).
- Mention tone (professional, casual, playful) and language if it is not English.
- Add audience and goal (educate, announce, drive clicks) in one short sentence.
The assistant picks the right generation approach for your request. You can keep chatting to refine the draft.
Generate your first post
After the assistant replies, you typically get:
- Copy ready to edit (captions, hooks, hashtags when useful).
- Media when you asked for images or video (or when the format needs them).
- A draft you can review before anything is published.
What to do next:
- Edit the text so it matches your brand voice.
- Request a rewrite (“shorter”, “more concrete”, “add a CTA”) if needed.
- Approve when you are happy, then publish or schedule.
In Assistant mode, nothing publishes without your approval. That is the recommended way to start.
Connect your social networks
Connecting accounts lets you publish or schedule from auto-social.io instead of copying content by hand.
Open Social accounts.
Supported platforms today:
- X (Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
You can also prepare blog articles with a cover image. See Social accounts for Meta-specific details.
How connecting usually works:
- Open Social accounts.
- Choose a platform and follow the secure sign-in flow.
- Grant the permissions requested so posts can be created on your behalf.
- Confirm the account appears as connected.
Facebook: Connect Facebook imports your Pages. Instagram accounts linked to those Pages are added automatically.
Instagram: Connect Instagram uses Instagram Login for a professional account (Creator or Business). No Facebook Page required. Personal accounts cannot connect via Meta’s API, but switching to professional is free and reversible. Official guide: Set up a professional Instagram account.
We never ask for your social media passwords. Connections use secure sign-in with each platform.
You can connect multiple accounts. Plans do not gate the number of social accounts by feature tier.
Suggested first-week workflow
- Connect at least one network you already post on.
- Generate 3 to 5 drafts in Assistant mode and edit them yourself.
- Publish or schedule manually so you learn the review flow.
- Only then consider Autopilot if you want hands-off publishing on a cadence you choose.
Languages
Copy and posts can be prepared in 90+ languages. Say the language in chat (“in French”, “in Spanish”, “bilingual EN/DE”) and the assistant will follow.
